Childbirth & Parenting Education is one part of the Alberta Health Region's maternity care and service. The Childbirth Education Program is working with your physician and other Alberta Health Region maternity services to ensure that you will receive a "seamless" service and the most accurate and up to date information. There are over 30 different courses are offered by Perinatal Education. They include healthy lifestyles in pregnancy, preparing for childbirth, preparation for your new baby, parenting classes and lots more! Classes are available for your whole family. Some classes are free and others have a registration fee.

Alberta Health Region selected Book King’s Registration Module to provide the tools required to process course enrollments. Book King’s Registration Module allows sharing of resources and information anywhere there is an internet connection. This includes users, clients and facilities to provide an easy to use, single user interface to access both facility location information and course enrollment information. The ability to copy course information forward to new courses reduces administration time and simplifies staff training requirements.
